📰 Create your information pages

In the "Pages" tab of the sidebar, Decidim allows you to publish static pages including, for example, the terms of use and legal notices of your platform, or help pages to explain to users the purpose of the platform and the different spaces. These pages are always accessible from the "More information" tab of the navigation bar.

Three pages without subject are defined by default; they cannot be deleted and their identifier (i.e. the url suffix) cannot be modified, but their title is of course modifiable :

  • faq: This page is directly linked to the "Learn more" button in the How to Participate? section in the middle of the home page. We advise you to use this page to publish a notice or charter on participation, which can take the form of a frequently asked questions.
  • terms-and-conditions: This is probably the most important page, since it contains the platform's T&Cs that users must accept when registering. These T&Cs do not have a fixed form, but may contain rules of good conduct as well as information on the protection of personal data and cookies - you can refer to our demo page.
  • accessibility: It is used in particular to document the platform's accessibility references. You can also use it to indicate the means of contacting you (notably through private conversations on the platform).

Four general help pages are also set by default, but these can be removed: :

  • Que puis-je faire sur la plateforme {Nom de la plateforme} ?
  • What is a Process ?
  • What is a assembly ?
  • How does Initiatives work?

You can create other pages, to integrate the legal notices of the site or any other documentation.

Similarly, you can create a new topic to group specific pages together.

In the specific case of the "terms-and-conditions" page, it is possible to notify users of a major update by checking the box There have been significant changes. The next time they log in, they will be automatically redirected to the terms-and-conditions page that must be validated. If they refuse the terms, the user cannot log in and an option leads them to the page to delete their account.
