❓Introduction to participatory spaces
The participatory spaces house your participatory approaches. Each participatory space has a presentation page, arranged differently according to the type of space. There are 4 types in Decidim.
The Processes
The Processes are adapted to the implementation of a time-bound participatory mechanism, with stages (participatory budget, classic consultation with harvest/proposal voting for example, etc.). To find out more about Processes, click on this link.
Cases of use
The Climate Citizens' Convention has used Processes as a thematic space for contributions.
The European Metropolis of Lille uses Processes to involve citizens in the development of their public policies.
The assemblies
The assemblies are better suited to participatory governance over a long period of time. It is also possible to create subassemblies and/or link a assembly with a Process.
For example, assemblies can be useful for setting up a participatory mechanism within an organisation, allowing it to create working groups/sub-groups via the subassemblies. For more information on assemblies, click on this link.
Cases of use
The city of Toulouse uses the assemblies as districts, to be able to link the Processes that correspond to this or that district.
The city of Malakoff uses assemblies to organize participation around the different city councils (neighbourhood councils, etc.).
The Initiatives
The Initiatives allows users to create a Initiative which, after being moderated a priori, will be able to collect signatures for a given period. To learn more about Initiatives, click on this link.
Cases of use
The nationalassembly allows citizens identified via France Connect to submit Initiatives, which can then be debated in one of the eight standing committees of the nationalassembly and, under certain conditions, in public session.
The Senate's platform e-Initiatives allows you to submit a Initiative or to support an already published Initiative . These Initiatives allow if several conditions are met to be able to submit to the Senate a request for inclusion on the agenda of a legislative text or the creation of a senatorial control mission.
Conferences
Conferences allow you to provide information about a particular event in order to give maximum detail about the programme, to benefit from a more developed registration module, etc. To find out more about them, click on this link.
Cases of use
The Ministry of National Education used the Conferences area to report on the two days of the Etats Généraux du Numérique event.
