🥗Configurer your menu

On Decidim, by default, the menu items are "Processes" and "assembly", but this can be different depending on the spaces used (for more information, click here). But you can add items to this menu.

Indeed, you can customize the secondary navigation bar of your platform by going to Settings, then Secondary Navigation Bar.

From this interface, you can create a new menu item by pressing " ". Add"You can also change titles already filled in by clicking on the edit icon or even delete them by clicking on the delete icon.

For the creation as well as the modification, you will have to fill in several fields:

  • Title: Fill in the name you want to give to your menu title (in our example: Open Source Politics)
  • Link: Fill in the URL to which you want to redirect users when they click on this menu item (in our example: https: //opensourcepolitics.eu/
  • Display Rank: Integer that defines the position of the menu item.
Look out! Items added via this setting can never appear before "automatic" items, such as the "Process" item. The display rank therefore only works within the links added via this module.
  • Finally, you can choose whether when you click on this link, a new tab will open, or whether the page will open in the same tab. Recommended: Open in a new tab if it is an external link, or open in the same tab if it is an internal link.
