🗺 Configuring the interactive map

Decidim has a new homepage block called "Interactive Map". This map view allows users to have an overview of the Processes taking place in the different districts of their city. Its configuration requires several settings, which we will detail here.

Setting up the sectors

Go to the "Settings" tab in the administration area and click on "Sectors" (see the article "Determining Sectors"). To be able to set up your tile, check the "Geolocalized" box. You will then see these new fields appear :

The Geometry field allows you to fill in the geospatial data you wish to associate with the neighbourhood. It accepts the GEOJSON format. In this field, you must enter the spatial coordinates of your tile.

You can then set the color of your tile by clicking on the color bar.

Link to a assembly

In order for the set sector to appear on the map, it must have been previously linked to a assembly. To do this, go to the "assemblies" tab in the administrator's area. On theassembly corresponding to the district, go to the "Information" sub-tab. Scroll down the page to the "Filters" section, check the "Sectors enabled" box, then select the sector to which you wish to link your assembly. Update your assembly, and don't forget to publish it so that it appears on the map!

Create markers for Processes

For a Process to be deployed on the map, it must be associated with theassembly of the neighbourhood. To do this, go to the "Information" sub-tab of the assemblies s concerned by a particular Process . At the bottom of the "Information" page, select the Process(s) associated with that neighborhood.
