🚫Modérer a contribution

Moderation on Decidim is done a posteriori, by reporting and in a contributory way (all users, including you, can report content).

  • To report a proposal, click on the 🏴 flag just below the proposal title (next to the username that created the proposal).

  • To report a comment, click on the 🏴 flag next to the name of the user who created the proposal.

In both cases, a dialog window appears to qualify the report:

Moderate a proposal or comment posted

When a proposal or comment is posted, administrators and moderators receive an email notifying them that content has been posted. A link takes them to the moderation board. To access it from the administrators' dashboard, go to the participatory process in question and then click on "Moderations" in the side menu.

You then access the list of contents to be moderated. The table includes two reports, "Visible" (default) which displays all unmasked alerts and "Hidden" which displays all hidden content.

moderations

The left-hand column indicates whether it is a proposal or a comment. A link is provided to view the moderated content (when it is a comment, the inappropriate comment must be found in the discussion). The "Counter" column shows the number of users who have posted content.

Once you have evaluated the content, you can take action using the "Action" column:

  • 👁️ allows you to hide the content. When you click on it, the content goes into the hidden table and is no longer visible on the platform (including for you).
  • ️ allows you to cancel the report if it is inappropriate. This resets the counter to 0, the content moves to the bottom of the table and allows you to stay up to date on your moderations.
