🔀 Drawing of lots

The Draw function allows you to randomly select a number of proposals from a group of proposals. To configure a Drawing module, you must go to the Features submenu, click on "Add Feature" and select "Drawing". The module configuration screen opens:

You have to fill in a title, a display row in the navigation bar and you can activate comments on the module.

Once the module has been configured, you can carry out a draw for proposals. To do so, click on the " Drawing lots" module in the sub-menu on the left, or click on the"Pencil" icon in the feature management panel. Don't forget to publish the module so that it appears in the steps of Process.

To conduct a random draw, click on "New Draw" and the setup screen will open:

The fields to be filled in and selected are :

  • Title*
  • Set of proposals*: group of proposals within which you wish to carry out the draw.
  • Categories of proposal sets to which you want to apply the draw*: If necessary, select the categories of proposal sets within which you want to apply the draw. 
  • Number of proposals to be selected*: Indicate the number of proposals you want to draw from the group of proposals you have previously selected.
  • Witnesses: Enter the names of the witnesses
  • Draw information: if necessary, add information about the draw
  • Result of your dice roll. *: Draw a number from 1 to 6, either by using a 6-sided die or by any other means, and enter the number obtained here in front of witness(es). This procedure helps to ensure the sincerity and randomness of the result.

Once the fields have been filled in and selected, click on " Create". A dialog box will open to confirm that the draw will take place. Drawing a prize is irreversible and the result is automatically published in your Process.

Once confirmed, the result appears in the administrator interface as well as in the relevant Process .
